I was diagnosed with tnbc in April 2022 and yes, Triple Negative Breast Cancer is a terrible illness controlled by a terrifying terrorist, aka FEAR. After my diagnosis and all through surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatments, I lost and regained my self dignity through a combination of genuine care from my medical team, incredible support from friends, family and total strangers; and , above all, by a special gift from God of an uncanny ability to poke fun at the various debilitating stages of horrible side effects. My sense of humor strengthened my resolve all through this first year, culminating in a remission as at my last check up.
